Final Cut Pro Effect - Channel Blur

Not sure why, but Apple only included a Channel Blur Effect for 360 videos. So, I decided to create my own version for standard videos. Enjoy!

No, please see the note in red font at the top of the downloads page: “Please Note: All plugins were built to be used with the latest version of Final Cut Pro (10.4.+)”

Ryan I download the transition unzip the file go to movies in finder>templates and then I see: Bubble.motr I click that and a box opens says choose app. The box says “There is no application set to open the document “Channel Blur.moef””. Nothing I can do. Sorry to bother you on your trip. Keep safe.

Hi, you don’t click on anything within finder. All you do is add the folder to the correct location in finder and then open FCP and the effects/Transitions will be present.

      1. Download files
      2. Add files to correct folder. If it’s a transition you add it to Motion Templates > Transitions >

If it’s an effect you add it to Motion Templates > Effects

If you don’t have the Effects or Transitions folders you must create them and make sure you capitalize the first letter of the folder name.

Thanks! Glad you are enjoying them. What type of “Fade” effect are you suggesting? Do you have an example you can share with me. I’ll take a look and see what I can do.
